Fact: One spends more time crawling through weird-ass dungeons while being assaulted by creepy shit than looking cool while riding around Hyrule on Epona.

:iconluchiahanonlina:and I have been playing the 3Ds version of the Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time... We quickly realized that this game was quite different from what we had expected it to be.

My initial thoughts were something along the lines of "ooh, it's a Legend of Zelda game, so it must be one of those fun adventure games where I can play as this cool elf guy called Zelda Link and ride around a wacky fantasy world on my trusty steed!"

It didn't quite match these expectations.

But it was still an awesome game!

Oh so true. When I first time played Oot (which was the first Zelda I played) I got serious trauma when re-dead attacked and killed me. I was about ten years back then, and it scared the shit out of me. But that was probably the last time I got scared by something in videogames and it`s a good game, so it was worth it.:D

Not to make fun of you or anything but I always laugh when people fail to expect scary shit in Zelda. Probably because I've played the games since I was eight (I'm two days shy of 22 now) and as a result I'm far too genre savvy for my own good.

Glad you enjoyed your first Zelda though!

At first I didn't really know what to expect of this game but now I must say it propelled me into the LOZ fandom and I'm definitely planning to play more Zelda games!
And ...uuuh... your username seems somewhat familiar... COULD IT BE that you are the one responsible for some wonderful works of literature over at ff.net ?!

Yeah, me too. I mean, when I was 6 I LOVED Twilight Princess and it was my first Zelda game. I used to pretend to be Link on the playground and stuff. But, I was 6 so I never really finished but, 6 years passed and OoT 3D came out so, I decided to get it.OoT 3D got me BACK into it.
